Lets not get personal The site is ***** though and I suspect that its mainly to do with the contract.</p> Though I am bemused as to why the club persist in posting non stories with links that are tenuous at best to BFC.</p> Surely they could put more stuff on to do with the club ie player interviews etc etc.</p> The clubs PR is not very good at all.</p>
I think they have to put on x number of new stories every week as a condition of FLPTV providing the service.</p> So any old ***** will do...</p> ..on second thoughts perhaps its lazy arsed attitude thats at fault</p>
oh that old chestnut Rob knowles has stated in the past that contractual obligation states that clubs must provide X number of stories a day. I have checked every other football league website and we are the only one that provides this many. most have a couple a day if that. ie only knews about their club.</p> I emailed the football league to ask about this contract and the reply was interesting. The stories didn't seem to agree with each other</p>
RE: Interesting pill I swallowed that clubs decide how many news stories to publish. Of course Barnsley could have a different contract to the rest of the league
Its a crying shame that the club cant be arsed to post stories that are remotely connected to the current football situation at Oakwell.</p> Perhaps its a hangover from when there was nothing positive at all to report. A **** <strike>excuse</strike> reason I know but its the only <strike>excuse</strike> reason I can think of.</p> A change of attitude is required.</p>
I don't think anybody would mind If rob just created two catagories for the news and kept them on seperate pages.</p> BFC news and General News</p>
thanks how do you mean?</p> If you mean how do I get the pics in my signature to show randomly then I created a folder and put all the pictures in there then made (copied) a php script which does the hardwork and tells the bbs to load a random one. the image address in my signature goes to ..../rotate.php rather than to a .gif or .jpg for example. the php file then tells it what to do. erm i think.</p> Thats if that is what you meant.</p>
