It's astounding we are looking at a guy who's played five games in two years and who last time he was with us was bone idle lazy, **** out of tackles and generally didn't impress.

What a load a rubbish. He didn't impress. he had a badish 4/6 month at the end when Robins got rubbish FT in and played him up top or in beheind a striker and he was playing with back to goal a lot.

earlier that season he played very well. When he came off against WBA he was so far the best player on the pitch it was crazy. Also had a really good game against burnley in cup.

But we all know how good he can be on his day and if Keith can get the best out of him on a regular basis he must be worth a short term contract at the very least.

Players motivation changes, who's to say he won't knuckle down and give his all and be the player he once was? If he's **** then I doubt he'll be on mega bucks anyway. Folk seem to be far too black or white on whether someone is a good player or not void of any circumstances.

amazing how some player can turn it on in the last chance saloon :D

I thought he was fantastic at times and I recall Davey turning down 1 million for him.

some people have short memories, he had a bad end to is last season and that makes him rubbish.

No one seems to remember Vaz Te being crap at the start of last season

If he signs that moves Sir Bobby down another place in the centre midfield competition.

He impressed me. For long periods. It all turned to **** in the end like, but in my opinion that was due in large part to Robins playing him out of position. Robins played him high up the pitch behind the strikers. I think he's far more suited to a withdrawn role picking out passes. A similar position to that played by Pirlo for Italy. And no, I'm not suggesting he's as good as Pirlo.

Still think it's a very weird signing if we do get him, but I've some very fond memories of his time at Barnsley.

Quality player, went downhill when we tried to turn him into a player he wasn't. That after starting the season where he should be and playing really well.

Not lazy at all, was always putting a tackle in.

Know he's been playing for the top team in Uruguay but heard he's been on the beach football circuit more often.
