Why is Beckham getting so much praise for donating wages to charity???

He's not the first player to give his salary away. Michael Chopra donated his salary to Ladbrokes.

 

Balotelli has been giving 50% of his wages to Charities in Africa.

 

He did it once to pay for a school in Sudan that his friend was involved with.

 

No he gives it all the time , since that. The rest he spends on fireworks and fire extinguishers !!

 

Where did you read that? He did it once for the school and MCFC made sure it got put into the media to get positive coverage for him instead of all the usual stories about his antics.

Google it and that is the only press story you will get about him donating his wages, except for ones about him handing out money in the street and buying rounds of drinks for 10,000 people etc etc! The rest comes from City forums. It's all hearsay and I bet a lot of it's folklore Wish he'd help his biological Mother who is stuck on the Wythensawe estate, where they film parts of Shameless. She also cleans offices for minimum wage.
