It is a strategic partnership between Leeds Met and Yorkshire Cricket, whereby Leeds Met have paid a significant amount for the Carnegie name to be used at what is an international sports venue, and have partnered Yorkshire Cricket and Leeds Rhinos to build new stands, which incorporate teaching rooms and lecture theatres, so that the students are learning in the environment in which they arre studying about. The carnegie Faculty is the sports and education faculty, and many of their students are now based at Headingley Carnegie stadium, which is better than being housed in a drab 1960s pre-fab. I've been up there on numerous ocasions and am largely impressed by what has so far been achieved.
