Why is it if so many people are against violence at football matches

    when the players start fighting during a match the entire crowd is on it's feet egging our players on?

    Some of those South American matches the players could

    Was it Barnsley v Birmingham a year or two back when it kicked off on the pitch, every single person in the ground was egging our lot on.

    Because it's illegal, it gives the club a bad name, attracts additional policing costs and drives away families and young fans.

    Players fighting is yep. Fines, suspensions etc can cost a club promotion or relegation.

    A lot of folk like boxing

    But don't pick fights with other people for no reason other than they follow another team.
