I still ain't been delivered a brown and blue bin.

Also, my "bin day" is a Thursday, but for last 3 weeks, they've finally managed to empty it on Friday.

This recycling policy is exemplary......but Barnsley Council's ability to plan this is woeful.

Best thing to do is say they have been pinched and collect them in person.

I know you shouldnt have to but its the only we get them

Surely the colours are a mistake - Blue = Cardboard :) but brown = plastics hahaha

    Because it is!

    Brown bottle!

Anyway, think they made a big mistake having the can/bottle/plastic being every 4 weeks instead of 2. They said it was because only about half the bins were out each fortnight, I would sometimes not put mine out as it was half full or less....but what they get now are full bins all the time so the lorry gets full quicker and they have to return to the depot to empty - hence it takes them longer to collect!

My brown bin is for garden rubbish only. Green bin for cardboard/recycle stuff.

My brown bin is for garden rubbish Blue bin is for cardboard plastic glass and tins recycling and grey is for anything else
we dont have a green bin I need to pay an extra £40 per year to get my brown bin emptied as well

I think every local authority has a different system.

I've been leaving it out every week for the last four weeks (Friday will be the fifth week) but no luck so far and there simply not interested when you ring them to ask what is going on.
