There will be at least 10,000 spare seats. Leeds can have as many as they want. Are the police not capable of policing a 10k crowd where two sets of fans can be adequately housed in separate areas if the ground?
I thought this yesterday. It's not going to sell out so what's the point in making at all-ticket, just means that those that on the day thank think 'it's Leeds, **** it i'll actually go today' can't go. I agree - the Police surely can 'control' even a sell out crowd. Just another way for BFC to miss out on money.
I reckon it'll be so Leeds fans can't get in home areas. Plus they don't want 12k Leeds fans turning up.
Dyson spots why. Otherwise Leeds fans will go home end. Plus a police decision for all the club bashers
We can't control the police decision on this one, and it does make sense to at least try and keep Leeds fans out of the home stands. It does make a mockery of our 'fleece the away support' pricing policy that every single fan from what is likely to be the biggest away following of the season will pay no more than £25 for a ticket though. No on the day sales = no £28 price category. http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20121214/barnsley-away-ticket-info_2247585_3009494
Away end is all ticket and you need to be a member to apply - makes sense to me to have it all ticket. Been to a few Leeds games at home when there's been trouble. Remember having to run for my life when in the Brewery Stand after a pitch invasion, had a rocket fired at me from a car - perfect sense to me .
They get round their membership scheme quite easily, that kid that chinned Kirkland wasn't a member and had a banning order. Was that the invasion of 1985?
They won't fill the away end never mind want to go in the home end, they are well p*ssed off with Warnock and current performances, despite only being 2 points of the play-offs, feel sorry for 'em!!
Have they sold out? their site said they only had 5,000 tickets and not the normal 5,800, probably due to segregation and after the trouble in the corner at the Wednesday game.
Obviously for safety. Imagine if a massive gang of idiots from leeds decided to sneak in ponte end, it would be carnage.
Not sure of the year mate to be honest - just remember having to leave the stand very quickly at the end of the game. Was 85 the year Hirsty scored in a 3-0 win?
