why is the transfer market so slow for us..

    Its getting very frustrating now everyone seems to be starting to sort deals apart from us... need to get finger out

    Check other teams message boards,more complaints about there teams lack of transfer activity and the ones that have brought players in are complaining about the quality.And silly me was thinking its just our supporters.

    If we signed some one now

    that would mean that the player would have all pre-season to get used to our team, never going to happen is it ???

    Same as last year , its going to be a last min rush around the bargain basement .

    Jcr, there a time when we really got the rubbish. He was announced a the barnsley website about 8/9 am after the transfer market as shut. PLEASE DAVEY PLEASE DONT WAIT UNIT THE LAST DAY WE MIGHT SIGN ANOTHER JCR OR MULLER. who also signed last on the year before.

    The truth is we don't know how much he's been given.....

    we can all speculate to how much he's got, but when the likes of Tommy Smith can command £1.8 mil and Ricky Lambert being linked to a £1 mil move it begs the question what can Davey realistcally do, rock and a hard place time, my guess would be he's gambling on a couple of young lower league lads coming good, thats one hell of a punt.

    Davey will sign a player like Hume this year if the player he wont's comes available for the same price. Cryne has said it and i believe him more than all you critics. How many people knew he would go for Hume . I can remember when barnsley where linked with with matty fryatt and you lot came out with the same CR-p that barnsley could not afford someone like Hume and could only get someone like M F. HAHAH BULL poo.

    i can see that top class striker we got last summer getting a game at blackbrun next season mores the pity we could have tried to get him back if he hadent set the championship alight last season

    And HT davey as only seen what we had seen about rigters. I can remember every barnsley fan thought the loan signing of rigters was brilliant. Souza he had a bad game or 2 and struggled to play next to hassell and moore. Van homoet the best attacking full back at club but because he knocked bobby scab i wont attack hassell out of the team you lot went mad. HEM set the pre season off brilliant and the people i talked to thought he was going to be brilliant. Leon got a lot of stick because he was going to after play with BH or on the left which is not where he ever played for real Madrid or the castillo.

    We usually introduce 3 at a time at the press conferences, don't we?</p>

    And why is everyone going on about strikers again. We've got Hume/Bogdanavic up front, and 3 others in case one of them gets injured. We are much lighter in other areas.</p>

    you have take a risk i understand that but if your going to do that you need to bring 6 or more players in to stand a chance of getting 2 decent one's . and if your bringing that many in you have to do asap to stand any chance of them gelling for the start of the season every year its going to get harder in this league and we can't keeping giving team 5 6 and 7 game starts. because it will cost us in the end its 2 month since the last game of the season we should have our squad by now and be training them
