Why is this person been treated in our country?

    i'm appalled this has happened to the poor lass, but why is she being treated in our country? i thought we were struggling with patients as it was? i've read all the story, especially about how it's been recommended she comes here for treatment, but we're going to end up paying for it out of our taxes... and no, it's not the same as one of us been recommended to go to the USA or another country, we have to pay for that. is it all just a PR exercise or an excuse to use a shiny new ward they've built?

    Half our doctors come from Pakistan so you'd think they'd be able to treat her over there, maybe it's a security problem since they're still threatening her and they couldn't keep the Taliban out of the hospital.

    Why is she being treated abroad though from a pakistan point of view? Is it that their hospitals aren't as good or that they worry about her safety?

    Cheers. Was just wondering because as someone else said, we get a lot of doctors from over there so they obviously have the skills, shame they don't have the facilities to match really.
