Asked the very same question earlier in the week. Kept getting e-mails advertising it and I'd never heard of it before. So I looked it up. It's an American thing that retailers are trying to start over here. I wish they'd **** off. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shopping)
just looked on the BBC news website, story about this nonsense today folk fighting over stuff, kids getting hurt.this should be nipped in the bud right now... its pathetic and praying on peoples greed.
you are a **** sir... if people fighting over goods and getting kids hurt is rambling then again I call you a ****.
It's getting bigger and bigger each year here too - one "retail expert" predicts that within the next year or so it will be bigger than Boxing Day sales. I was in the States this day last year and I've never seen anything like it. There were so many people in the shopping Mall we (stupidly) visited that the queue for the toilets was over half an hour long. Didn't take us long to get out and seek refuge in a bar over the road from the madness. I went back at 9pm and picked up some right bargains though when almost everyone else had gone home. It looked like a bomb had gone off in most of the shops.
totally just a shame Mr T'Fun cannot see that... but then again he is only interested in trying to slap me down and make comment on my posts... I am kinda like his pet 'Hemsie' I guess. I reckon he must be housebound or something .
