Why no new years day game this year ?

    It's a Thursday. We're already playing the proceeding Friday and Sunday, so they're just waiting until the weekend. If they played the Thursday too it would be 4 games in 9 days. I know footballers are a bunch of over pampered nancy boys, but I think that would be a bit much. It's still the usual 3 games around Christmas/New Year.
