.. why not just for once push Styles further up field and bring Odour or Williams on, we haven’t given that option a go once all season... Surprise factor comes into it and at least we’re trying to be less rigid.
Been saying this for weeks, no one will ever convince me that styles is a better wing back than a central midfielder, Palmer started quite well when he first broke into the team but now he seems to have gone backwards, odour or williams wing back and styles in his natural position is the way to go imo....
I thought today in particular it was an option worth taking. We didn’t need arial presence in midfield to replace Palmer, we just needed to get control of the game.
Replying to the OP, I am in agreement. Replying to the first response, yes, I would love to see Oduor given a go. We have all seen a player there. Rigidity is our only flaw under VI and it could be the difference between making it or not.
Like to know what's going on with Oduour, makes the bench every game but never gets run out. If we're chasing a game he is an attacking wing back.
Seems really negative to talk this way now after a defeat but we do need a plan B. Teams are slowly wising up and finding a way to combat our style. Hopefully we have enough to get over the line for the play offs. A win and a draw may well be enough.....
