I would imagine club officials / lawyers have told him to keep quiet. The club released a brief statement yesterday to aknowledge the fact Hume is in hospital so they prob see that as sufficient.
He may have privately, we don't know. Although I must admit that I would have made a public apology, especially with all the criticism he's getting now. I don't see it as admiting liability as he could phrase it in such a way as to say 'it was an awful accident, footballing incident, never meant to fracture his skull', etc etc. But I must say I have been disapointed in his general (lack of) reaction to the whole episode. His lack of remorse makes him look like Roy Keane (wonder if he'll make an admission in his book when he stops playing?).
According to the Daily Mail Morgan enquired as to Hume's condition and was assured both by Hume and Darren Moore that it wasn't that serious.
First I've heard of that.
