He wouldn't get a kick against me on a sunday. I have mates playing at semi pro on a saturday who are as good. He must be a nice lad.
Hes not bad from what ive seen. I can remeber been at burnley a couple of seasons ago and him comeing on and doing well. I dont think hes a striker tho but maybe a winger.
Give the lad a chance SD and the coaching staff see him day in day out in training so are in a much better position to say whether he can make it than us lot who have seen a few sub appearences.
At the risk of repeating myself, Coulson has only signed a one year contract. He will not be earning "fantastic" money. He is only 21 years old, he's had very little opportunity so far and has suffered two bad injuries. Give him the chance to get fit and show what he can do before we "slaughter " him and right him off. People on here complain that there are no younger players coming through yet we want to right one off before he's had a proper chance.
Agreed. imho has the natural ability of a finisher, if he could stop breaking himself then we might get to see it. Hope he has a long injury free spell.
Agreed. He hasn't had a chance yet, he's not on fantastic money. FFS lets give him a chance to prove himself before we get rid. He might just end up being a pretty good player. He's only a young lad who's been very unlucky with injuries so he deserves a chance before he's thrown on the scrap-heap.
FFS, certainly deserves a proper chance. Like a previous post said, he wont be on huge wages and we've not seen enough of him yet to form a judgement like "Division 2 standard at best".
How would people react if we let him go, then he went on to become a very good player at this level?
Good job Liverpool didn't get shut of Gerrard when he was injured every 5 minutes at Coulson's age. He has been very unlucky with 2 injuries that most players don't even get once in their careers.

Having seen both Coulson and Adam playing for the Academy at the age of 17, in my opinion, Coulson was the better player. Since then, he has had two bad injuries which have delayed his progress, but surely his promise up to that time suggests that he is due another year, in the hope that he will stay injury free and prove himself. If he does not, then we have lost little in terms of financial outlay as compared to his potential value in 12 months. There is are too many people on here who want to write young players off because they make no allowance for their age, comparing them to established professionals. There are others who have seen nothing of the youngsters, but who urge that they be brought into the team based upon reputation alone. If they are good enough, they are old enough, but if they are not good enough they will never be old enough. Let the professionals decide.
Agreed. I did not see Coulson play for the Academy as I was living near Wigan at that point, but I watched him on two or three occasions play for the reserves last season and he looked a very decent player. As I said in the previous post, I think he deserves the opportunity to show what he can do before he is "written off" as a League 2 player!
Last game he played at Oakwell he was brilliant Came on and scored and his control and speed was great. Hope he can stay injury free and I am sure he will make a decent player.
Dont know about others, but iam not comparing him to anyone. Watched him enough times to make my own mind up thanks mr academy. Ta! He'd be 4th choice striker at best next year, wont even get a chance anyhow. Needs a league one club on loan asap to stand any chance with us.
