His goal last week was his first goal in open play since September
Out of the thirteen goals that he has scored, only six have been in open play in the league.
Six goals in open play in twenty eight league games is no better than we already have.
He is also nearly thirty seven years old,he isn't going to get any better.
If we are going to buy another player, it should be a central defender....imo.

RE: Six figure fee? We must have money to burn or a manager who is going down faster than the Titanic in my estimation of his abilities. Windass? We need "GOOD DEFENDERS RITCHIE" for fecks sake man get a grip on reality. (titanic)
I can understand some of the comments on the board about Windass, however if you saw Windass at our home game he had 8 attempts on goal, one hit the post, one went about 3 inches wide, one was cleared of the line and the rest were saved. I believe he could do a short term job for us afterall many fans said that Hendry and Wilkinson were too old but boy were those doubters proved wrong. If you ask any Bradford fan they will tell you that Windass has the talent to score another twenty goals this season which is what we need, our current strikers are not doing the business therefore if we want any chance of promotion then Windass contributing goals with Shuker and Devaney would guarantee promotion.
agreed fella,he is also a leader on the pitch, something i still dont think we have,i think he could have the same effect as hendrie when he came.
RE:The answer is? To stop playing Suker and Devaldo so wide and get them tucking inside more. We are really playing 4-2-4 not 4-4-2 when we let the two outside mid-fielders hug the touch line all the time. The two central mid-fielders are going to be run off their feet every game unless we become more disciplined. That is why the mid-field gets over run, not enough players in there. Stop chopping and changing the strikers give Wright and Hayes a decent run. We have an indecisive manager, how long will it take Ritchie to make his mind up?
RE: You mean.. bradford do not have as good a squad as us, his goals have kept them out of the bottom four, ffs
oh and by the way lose the chip of thi shoulder

We need some mobile midfielders. The midfields performance against Walsall was nothing short of disgraceful.
I think Hendrie and Wilkinson was a totally different situation to that of Windass.
We have just bought a new striker so why not give him a chance.
We need to build confidence, best way to do this is to not concede goals, the rest will come.
We need a solid center half.

Windass = Chopra It seems more like that situation to me eyes. It's not that either are BAD players, but the priorities of the squad clearly lie elsewhere. I think if we had singed Windass plus a recognised defender, everyone would be happy. As it is, we have just signed three forwards (and no defenders).
