Looking at the Championship table, they are currently bottom 3 and only picked up 4 points from the last 15 available. He doesn't have a transfer window to try and save them, maybe just rely on emergency loans. They could be relegated come the end of the season, which is a very possible scenario. He could stay here, have a Wembley final, and still yet not out of the running for a play off finish - possible promotion and switching divisions with Bristol City.

If there is any possibility he could defer his appointment til the end of the season, surely this would be a much better scenario, and our fans in the majority I'm sure would wish him well. But will Bristol be prepared to wait? I doubt it, but maybe that's what he's gone for talks to find out?

We can but hope, but I do think he probably owes the owner this one.

Are you crackers.. If he wants to go he can go now he's not some vital lynch pin we need to desperately cling on to for a couple more months before he can go off to the job he really wants.. I want him to stay but only if he wants to continue what hes been working on here, what is the value of getting a few more months out of him?

Also, if he's going get a new manager in to get to know the players ready for the next campaign. You've totally blown my mind he's not pep ffs

Agree with this. I think he's already burnt his bridges tbh. Time to move on. Got a big game on Sunday and this won't have helped prep
