a) it stinks, makes you smell, your clothes smell, your house smell foul
    b) you're killing yourself
    c) it costs loads of money

Positives? You look 'cool'... or not.

    Have you ever smoked?

I have but don't now. I haven't smoked for almost a year. If you've never smoked then it seems like a dumb question. Drugs are addictive and nicotine is a drug. It's just as hard to get off it than any other drug.

If you have never smoked then please don't judge people by your own standards.

i've smoked for about 2 years, then i just stoped, felt **** for a few weeks but managed to get through it. I never understand why people dont quit. I understand people taking drugs where you can get a kick out of it so to speak. Anyway if people want to smoke good luck to them. I just think it should be banned from all public places

There was a kid in our halls of residence at Uni who didn’t smoke

Despite it being a ‘smoking block’. When you filled in your application for the halls you had to tick whether you wanted smoking or non-smoking and he chose smoking. When I quizzed him as to why he’d done that, he replied, “Because I don’t want to be stuck for a year with the kind of uptight, moaning bleeders who put down non-smoking on an application form.”

I know, I know, I’m going to die.

At one point last Setdi I genuinely thought you were going to jump from a moving car in order to light up. Impressive.

    gags

The dentist will be getting some of that tomorrow. Is there owt worse than forcing a stranger to look in your mouth? So far this week I've drunk 10 bottles of mouth wash and brushed my teeth 60 zillion times. Not going to have a cig until after I've been, so by the time I get there I should be all but ready to kill the dentist.

I started smoking when I was 13. Why? Well, it was a classic case of doing because we shouldn't. It was illegal, my mam and dad would kill me,but it would make me feel like an adult so, let's give it a whirl. That's how my brain saw it as a teenager. The more I smoked, and got away with it, the more I did it. I then became an addict.

It doesn't matter how much the anti-smoking brigade preach to smokers or how strongly you emphasise the downfalls of being a nicotine addict, the only reason a smoker will quit is for themselves and if they are really ready, then they will be surprised at how easy it actually is.
