Why voting UKIP is NOT a wasted vote

    On present voting predictions the Lib Dems are 0n 8% of the vote and UKIP are on 15% - that's nearly double the number of votes than the Lib Dems.

    However, the Lib Dems are predicted to get 30 to 40 seats while UKIP is predicted to get only about 3 or 4.

    This is because the Lib Dems are concentrated in a few pockets throughout Britain.

    This doesn't matter - but what does matter is this - if there is a high enough percentage vote for UKIP then the larger parties will amend their policies to come after and try to win back the voters lost to UKIP.

    Consequently UKIP voters may not get many members of parliament - but the UKIP voters will have a big influence on proceedings in the House of Commons because of their large percentage support throughout Britain.

    But he's been suspended immediately. What he says is despicable but we shouldn't tar the whole party with the same brush so to speak. Plenty of other party MP's have said/done dodgy things too.
