Why was Howard still Captain if we new he wanted to leave?

    It could have been settled some weeks ago.

    Because he had been playing rubbish and any scout watching wouldn't have recommened paying big bucks for him.

    he'd just contributed in getting us to the semi final of the fa cup? surely we could have sold him after that for more than £600k if we'd circulated his name?

    He never backed that form up, showed no leadership when we needed it. Nowt against Howard but where better off without him.

    I hope you're right but it doesn't say much for club when your best players want out!

    It would have been good to business to offload him in the summer in part exchange for a decent striker?

    Blackwell says he's been after him for a while we could have swapped him for Jon Stead?
