It was the sub that was booed I think. I think most wanted Watkins off or Watkins to right wing & a midfielder off. Which makes it even more bizarre that fans voted Watkins for man of the match
Neither. People thought it was the wrong move taking Toney off. They were booing the manager. It was followed up by a round of 'You don't know what you're doing."
Definately aimed at LJ for taking Toney off. Probably wasn't the worst decsion I suppose but I got the impression Watkins was the better candidate to be withdrawn.
Yep. I heard it. Assumed it was either for taking Toni off or Winnall dropping into midfield to start with.
Although it was Johnson who the fans booed.Apparently he took Toney off because he complained of feeling sick.
Fair enough. Can't say there was much of a reaction, besides a half-hearted clap, from where I was. Didn't think Toney did anything in the second half anyway. Could probably say the same for a few, though.
I don't know if it was the right decision or not. I certainly didn't boo, although I wasn't sure it was the right choice, but there were a fair few singing that song. I dunno, I thought we played OK today, much better that we have in many games during this dreadful run, but we still lost. And for all our effort and all our possession in the final third of the pitch, I'm struggling to recall us missing a sitter. Hourihane should have got a couple of those shots on target, but they weren't gimmes. We were the better team, but we weren't unlucky, just not good enough.
I'm not defending LJ on this. But me and my dad agreed with the sub. I thought toney looked decidedly average. Obviously if he was badly that might explain it. But even more bizarrely if he was badly why the **** wasn't winnall or even Jackson given a start....
