Depends how you judge it. You don't seriously think Bobby would have won if the question was "who's our most technically gifted player?"

This was an award in recognition of a guy who makes up for his technical deficiencies with bloody hard work, an ability to read and react to situations, and a willingness to play wherever he's needed for the good of the team.

And make excuses for the Manager when he fooks up. :D

RE: Totally agree with that nt

Me too if Bobby Hassell is getting our player of the season then we are bound to be struggling, he gives 100% every time he puts on a reds shirt but that does not make you a player of the season man for me! I honestly believe that if we were going to be a mid table team Bobby Hassell would not be in our starting 11, I can think of many players who have caught Bobby Hassell out of position like Jarvis today and Tyson for Forest and thats just to name a couple...

    i'm dumbfounded...

bobby hassell is a player that we need in our side.

his second half challenge today when wolves were clean through was a massive example of why he is our player of thisyear. just as another defender was our player of the year last year.

while ever we're fire fighting with this clown in charge a defender will eb player of the year.

Football is a game full of opinions and I am of the opinion that the most important aspect of being a full back is his positional sense and I don't believe that Bobby Hassell has a very good positional sense as he gives opposition wingers far far too much room but eh it's only my view... sorry if it offends you so much redtail

I think you are spot on doveside, his positional play is shocking take yesterdays goal for example. If he was so good why does 90% of opposition team attack down the left?

A lot of our goals conceded have come from the oppositions left hand side, his commitment to the cause is terrific and gives 100% every time he pulls on a red shirt but his positional sense is awful and he gives opposition wingers far too much room to do as they please. Our full backs at BFC are very poor and we need to improve this department for next season it’s a must!
