Boos whenever he touched the ball and a crescendo when he was subbed. The Wimbledon commentators said, "There's some things you just don't do as a footballer" as he was walking off, and "he should just sit there and keep his head down" when he was in the dugout. What's he done?
Ridiculous to be honest, that fans have to react like that. I'd understand it better maybe, if he'd seriously injured one of their players. Or if he'd played a part in them getting relegated, or missing out on promotion. Or if he'd ran his mouth about them, and slagged off their fans etc!.
Yeah I know we do, which is why Sam Winnall reacted like he did, when he scored at Oakwell that day!. But I had to laugh at the Peppa pig toy thing.
Was that in the Daniel Stendel promotion season ?. I enjoyed the hometown actor Shaun Dooley doing some guest commentary that day lol, on Radio Sheffo.
To clarify, was contracted to Reading who loaned him for a season to Wimbledon, he then went back and was loaned to Coventry for a season and then signed for MK Dons. So was never actually contracted to Wimbledon and there was a year in between him leaving them and joining MK. That is stretching a grudge somewhat.
