Don't we leave someone on the 1/2 way line?

Every other team seems to do this but not us!

Also how did they miss that 1 on 1?

I was thinking that myself. You'd have thought we were hanging on for a point at Old Trafford the way we packed the defence for corners today, especially in the final ten minutes. Worse still, when we finally cleared the ball it invited pressure straight back on to us.

I agree Bryn, old mate. Crowley would be the one for me.

This relies on your keeper being commanding and actually coming for crosses which Davies doesn't do. So why bother leaving someone so far up the pitch awaiting a distribution that isn't going to come.

Exactly, considering his lack of stature, and pace as an outlet.

Not just Crowley Kev but Harris could do the job too, he's obviously got the pace and it always leaves 2 opposing defenders back for the set piece

I can't remember the last time we did it regularly maybe when JCR or Hammill were in the team

So are you praising the tactics, criticising them or not really sure what day it is?

Good shout, mate. In fact, if we leave two up front, then the opposition will bring at least three defenders back to avoid any potential one on one situations on the break.

Totally agree, having everybody back is stupid, leaving one or better still two up keeps far more of the other side occupied

I hate it. I'm assuming there's a statistical reason behind it.

I like em too. Not sure we have anyone on the books remotely as good as either. I liked Derek Bell I can still appreciate Sam Winnall.
