RE: cos they are numpties Even if it's negative and all incorrect? 'Oh yeah that team... err... Barnsley I think they're called, drew 0-0 with Wigan tonight'
because they had the audacity to question davey. Seems Mr davey has a problem being criticised.....Kay, Tonge, etc...
Would Explain Why......... on saturday they had nobody at Bury to cover us and why against Wigan the praise or grumble board between west stand and ponty end was coverered up.
The thing is... Do Barnsley FC REALLY need Radio Sheffield if summat's gone off that we don't know about recently? Does any coverage make us any money, mean we'll get bigger crowds or anything? Media organisations need football and clubs more than vice versa... with the obvious exception of Satellite TV and the money that generates. So radio and newspapers then? This is just a question to discuss by the way, just interested in views...
Who needs them? Not us. They can't treat us like **** and then expect us play ball when it suites them. (wicked)
I think this bunker mentality might just take us to the top. Get everyone pulling in the same direction.
RE: I think this bunker mentality might just take us to the top. Are you being serious? Genuinely wondering.
RE: I think this bunker mentality might just take us to the top. Of course not.
Its just petty and makes us look smalltime.
Like Big Sam/Arry/Fergies childish fallouts with the TV.
So the radio station questions the release of some players and gets some scores wrong. All the club has to do is put someone up to set the media right.
Seems straight forward to me.

RE: I think this bunker mentality might just take us to the top. But they won't fall out with Rob Knowles over all his mistakes because he's part of the club? I get it now
RE: I think this bunker mentality might just take us to the top. A persecution complex is one of the signs of excessive drug taking I think.
Whoever is media relations should lay off the drugs.

Its better to believe that we get no coverage.
Keeps the no likes us we dont care attitude going.

RE: The thing is... Well, I agree that Radio Sheffield are the losers in all of this. I like Mr Shepherd, but he does seem to be the type of guy who will "take his bat and ball home" if he starts to feel hard done by. He happens to have fallen out with a radio station this time, but there have been other (high profile) occasions when he has been a bit petulant.
How do they treat us like ****?? It is BFC that are treating the public shabbily. I know I am in danger of being blackballed , but I think Barnsley Football Club have a big chip on their shoulder and its about time Shepherd and Davey learned to accept criticism with grace. This is not a club like Man Utd, that can continue without the press coverage, we need all we can get.
