Did we, from a commercial and financial point of view, waste an entire season last season not to mention the 7 after promotion? Some excellent initiatives this season. Sadly after the horse had bolted...
I'm sure that Ben recently said something along the lines of 'Don was a very shrewd man financially but lacked marketing initiative and flair' and that if you could merge him and Don you'd have a perfect CEO.
But by the same mans admission we stuck with those plans just when it was even more desperate for new efforts
I think it was more to do with Ben having to run with things and change the culture bit by bit. I guess turning the club around must have been like trying to turn around an oil tanker; it just doesn't turn on a sixpence. We stagnated for years in the championship and that was down to the board pre Ben.
Contracts ? Something that us workers get shafted with and the top no8s use to their advantage. If we do a cr@p job we get sacked , end of. If they do a cr@p job they get their contract paid up in full and are free to start the next job given by their in crowd when they want. We're all in it together
