Why is everyone slagging Davey and the board when the players on the field are the ones really letting us down with a total lack of effort regardless of tactics or the lack of them.
because davey cannot motivate his players, because davey has just put paul heckingbottom on at 2 nil down, because davey picked the wrong team again
RE: Because Davey's tactics are so wrong if he wants to win this game. nt If the players arent closing the opposition down and working hard which it sounds like they arent today and didnt on Sat then thats not Daveys fault
I really can't see us going forward under Davey... Away from home we are a shambles, and even if he gets some players I don't trust him with them. This is the first time I've ever considered not renewing my season ticket. If we go down and this guy is in charge, GS can **** off with my ticket money.
But look at our formation... Playing one man up front when your 2-0 down is ridiculous. He never made any attempt to change the system.
Thought he was meantto be a great coach doesnt show does it, or if the players dont listen to or respond to him then again it's his fault, hate to say it but we really do appear to be in the **** now unless we really make some quality signings, and i doubt we can afford to, and to make matters worse every other result went agin us to day
Davey - he's very well qualified......... Every coaching badge under the sun apparently, yet here's someone appointed whose team's lost 4 out of the last 5 games. In fact ONE solitary point from the last 15!! Speaks volumes.
RE: I really can't see us going forward under Davey... i dont suppose we could give the guy a bit of time to show what he is made of? To feel as strongly as you do about Barnsley FC then i would imagine that the reaction to the last 2 games with 1/2 a squad is justifiable. I am going to judge him once he and we have a squad of players who are capable of surviving in this league. At the minute we dont and it will be his signings that make or break him?
Re: Why? I wanted Winstanley I wanted Winstanley - he's got huge experience and total passion for his home town club. He's got success alongside Wilson. But the directors in their (lack of) wisdom chose Davey. I'd like to know what qualities they think he has above Winstanley or any other available out of work manager. Davey's appointment is bizarre to say the least.
cant agree re Winstanley, spent force no point going back, i dont question his experienceor passion for the club though
Happy new year to u Dave i fear its going to be a long drawn out first few months, although on current form we could go down sooner
RE: I really can't see us going forward under Davey... I also feel the same, I've had a season ticket since 1994 and have been going since 1974. If they don't care I don't, **** em.
I started this season full of optimism and hope I only really saw two reallybad games under Ritchie Cov at home and Palace away. The results did not tally with the performances. In the Davey period we get the results we deserve, in fact we didn't even deserve a win against Ipswich.

Because The players play under the instructions from Davey. Mr Shepherd employed Davey. Simple really.
