re them being fined and not being docked points to see if they can sue the premier league and the Hammers
Good West Ham should have been fined points for all the games they got something in when Tevez was playing... simple as that.
nowt will happen look at the history.... financial irregulatities...... tottenham £1.5m fine swindon - relegated two divisions hmmmm fielding inelligible players leeds fine afc wimbledon (i think was it?) out of cup, fine, loss of prize money. hmmmm
And AFC Wimbledon were docked loads of points even though in their case it was a genuine mistake ie all the points gained in games in which the guy played - on appeal it was reduced to a few points (might have been 6 though not certain) about the time West Ham were being investigated - so still cant quite see how West Ham get no points deduction at all - hopefully they will go down anyway and problem is solved
I Am Not Taking The Side Of West Ham But....... if we did the same would you be happy with points deducted that would almost certainly result in a relegation? Why should the West Ham fans suffer a relegation for something that they had no involvement in? The board messed up and the board pay with a huge fine. Deducting points would punish the fans who themselves have done nothing wrong. I want West Ham relegated by the way, I am just making a point.
"huge fine" even if they go down, how much have they earned just this year from TV money? I expect the parachute payments will probably cover 5 million
put it another way....... say Chelski were in the same position no amount of monetary fine could ever hurt them so it would be worth thir while to try to bend the rules to gain extra points. The only true deterrant is a points deduction
You talk about the fans' involvement there... How's it any different to when we watch our team get relegated/promoted through winning/losing games? Our involvement is financial support and getting behind the players... that doesn't change if points are deducted.
Apparently that Icelandic chap is refusing to pay the former chairman what he promised to pay him over the next two years and is considering banning him from the executive seats that were agreed in their prior deal. The reason is because Tevez was signed before Magnusson bought the club.
