Now they are all officially relegated how do you think they will fair in League One next season? I think Blackpool will be in the relegation battle because of Oyston, Millwall will have a very similar season to the one we've just had due to the rebuilding process and I would expect Wigan to be fighting for the top 2 as it looks like players such as Pennant are staying with them.
Blackpool 24th. Millwall bottom half. Wigan top half, but if they decide to splash out with their parachute money they could smash the division up.
I'd say they've all come down in states very similar to us, Doncaster and Yeovil last season. I don't expect any of them to be in the top 10 and in the case of Blackpool, much nearer the bottom 4 than the top half. Wigan is a strange one as they're still receiving parachute payments I believe. They could go the way of Wolves and throw caution to the wind in a bid to get out of the league at the first instance.
Ive seen a fair bit of Millwall this year, and although they have been utter tosh for extended periods, they are not as bad as their league position indicates. Their problem has been putting the ball in the net(they are in the top 6 in the league for clean sheets this year, and the midfield has been creating chance after chance that the forward line was squandering), so if they can keep the backbone of the team, and add a league 1 goal scorer, they have a chance of fighting for the top 6. Most of their problems have stemmed from Ian Holloway. He was blindly keeping faith in players that wern't producing the goods, just because they were his signings(sound familiar?), and keeping players completely in the dark as to why they were not getting games. If they had got rid of Holloway earlier, and given Harris(or whoever would be in charge) a chance to move some players out and bring in a forward or two, they would have stayed up(in my opinion, of course).
I've no idea whether Neil Harris or Gary Caldwell are any good as managers, so it's difficult for me to assess how well Millwall & Wigan will do. Blackpool seem to be an imploding football club on a downwards spiral and there doesn't appear to be any long term approach to halt it.
Well, Harris has got Millwall looking alot more organized and look very dangerous going forward, but hasn't been able to solve their lack of goals in the short time he has been in charge. The reason ive seen them a fair bit is due to the brother in law playing for them, and he says that Harris is an excellent coach, and know what he his doing on the tactical side too...
As I said, mate, I've no idea how good they are as managers. They may well be top quality and have a bright future in the game. Then again, they may not.
