    It will follow a 4-0 win for the Latics at Halifax last weekend - which kept up their 100 per cent record in pre-season matches

    Hutchings said: &quot;The core of our squad is in place, though we are always looking to improve and build.

    &quot;Let's see how we get on at Barnsley, where I'm looking to put out a strong team, niggling injuries permitting, and then go from there.

    &quot;It's been good so far, and I'm pleased that we seem to be improving game by game in terms of fitness and understanding.&quot;

    Reds chief Simon Davey will be hoping to field a side that can end Wigan's impressive form and make it a match worth watching, as the club bid to ride the blow of having players affected by a bug that has been sweeping Oakwell.

    The match kicks off at 7.30pm.

    Only the East Upper and Lower stands and Pontefract Road End will be open; there will be no admission to the West Stand.

    Admission is &pound;10 adults, &pound;5 concessions.</div>
