Ipswich did in their first season in the premiership

Did you watch football focus this morning? Listening to our Prime Minister extol the virtues of Arajan de Zeeuw was a joy.

    No

I was watching Under 8s Bucks County league football. They won 6-1 an' all. Was Tony talking about Arjan? He lived near my mum in Darfield you know.

    For reasons unknown

Tony was a guest on footy focus. He did OK too. Spoke quite authoritatively and eloquently on football. He was asked to name his cult heroes and he went for three players who are currently playing, but are often overlooked: Teddy Sheringham, Steve Malbranque and Arajan de Zeeuw! Not bad for an ex-Barnsley player. One of the Prime Minister's three favourites.

    Well done Tony

I was watching MOTD with my 13 yr old, it's the only time we bond, and Arjan came on and I said "He's from Barnsley!" and he said "You always say that, you said that when the Sunderland manager came on!" and I said "that's cos he's from Barnsley you slack c'unt. And I knew his sister Kath". And he looked at me all goggle eyed like.

    I suppose you get that

When you call your first born a lovely person. If I ever have children and I'm trying to provoke that particular look I'll give those tactics a try. What sort of reaction do such expletives prompt when the mother of the child is in the room?

We've got a deal in our house

I watch all the football and she watches all the costume dramas and programmes about the past. We both claim to have the best deal, but I think she just watches that rubbish to pretend like she's interested in something.
