Icon.. on Sheff Road. There's a guy in there who does it privately, i took mine in although he didn't do it cause his chips were faulty, i ordered one off net and did it mi sen it's not too hard. If u need somewhere to get games give me a shout
RE: Does he do PSPs? nt U can do yer own PSP providing u havn't got the latest update, it's easier to do it if it's got original firmware on it. It's not a chip but uses homebrew software to do it. If u trawl t'internet there's loads of places that tell u how to do it. I was going to do my sons but had already made the mistake of doing updates.
RE: What is the benefit of chipping? If it's chipping on the Wii, XBox 360 then providing u know someone who does games then u can get them cheap. Have not really come across a downside for 360 but they always said that it shortened the length of the laser on the PS2 although i've had mine ages and it's still going strong. The Wii chipping depends on the chip some play NTSC aswell. Nintendo are a bit keen with their own games and untill someone cracks it the game can detect if the system is chipped and won't play it.
RE: I'd rather someone else do it, i'd end up buggering it up nt You tend to find that u need to buy a spare battery to be able to do it so there's not a great deal to bugger up
RE: I've read that before Its called a Pandora's battery, and u basically have to shag the battery up in a technical way and along with a spare memory card, which u also need, to be able to do the flash. I've started it once but having done the updates its no good
