    I thought this was going to be another post suggesting names of out-of-contract players we should sign - most of which show little understanding of either economics or reality.

    I would have put Bony into the ‘unobtainable’ category, but maybe he’s just keen to get playing again.

    An article came out about a week ago saying Bony is ready to come back to football and would like to play in the championship so I would guess nearly every team in the league will be rumoured to get him.

    Short term contract for 6 months to bang some goals in?

    Having said that, he's probably looking for a longer term contract and we probably couldn't afford the money he'd be looking for.

    I'd take him on a short term contract but I'm not obsessed with resale value.

    I'm suggesting forget resale value in this case and just throw some money at scoring goals ie.tweak the plan for once and pay for a proven goalscorer.

    But aye you're probably right,this lot throw money about like a man with no arms

    I think most fans would agree with us but as we're all too aware, we don't share the same thought process as our owners.

    Would be a very strange signing. Doesn't suit our style, hasn't done anything of note in around 3 years and has been without a club for months. Can't see it happening and don't really want it to.

    Good player - surprisingly good in the air considering his size - bit like Don Goodman, that's where the comparison ends - probably not has hard working but certainly more skillful. Id have him - obviously doesn't fit "the model" however.

    I don't think the process would allow the board to pay some one like Bony 30 to 50 grand a week which is what he can get at some other club and I think most fans would support the club on that.
