Great result last night beating West Brazil (they play the greatest Harlem Globtrotting football you know!!!)

Are you looking after our lads for us? What are your initial thoughts?

Both played really well mate, Shotton especially. Hope in January we can extend the loan until the summer.....so tell us, does Pulis just have your boys practicing throw ins during training cos Shotts has got a throw on him that can rival that of Rory's??

Hard to say. 5 goals conceded against a mediocre QPR side then 3 days later beat a top-2 team comfortably.

Dickinson launched a bizarre assault on one of their players early-doors for which he could easily have seen red. Got away with a yellow but had to keep his nose clean. Shotton was immense last night - strong tackling, good in the air, useful turn of pace - very impressive.

Whilst I was less convinced in Dickinson, he has a good history at this level and is was nice to see him come round the touchlines at the end geeing up the fans. Seems happy just to be playing again and showed commendable attitude (moment of madness excepted).

    For what it is worth...

I thought he won the ball. He took the man as well but won the ball.

Only rival Rory's.......its not bad though.
He's a good player and someone for the not too distant future for us.
I'm sure that if they are both enjoying their time up there come January, there's a good chance it will be extended for the remainder.

I really hope they do a good job for you and get you up there challenging.

You are now offically the first result I look for in the Championship now.....come on the Tykes.

Wilko left a calling card early on and their winger was never the same after that. Shotton on the other hand looked very calm and impressive. Overall, they listened to Darren Moore and stuck to their tasks well.

Dickinson (and Shotton) have not played many reserve games for us up until they joined you because we hadn't played many, so they will be a bit short in match fitness, they should get better with each match they play.

Dickinson was more off the pace than Shotton but still put a shift in - and that lad likes a tackle....If we'd had him v Swansea he could've given Dyer a crack early on and he wouldn't have caused us as many problems.

Thought Shotton was brilliant - Bendtnar (sp) was getting nothing out of him. Can't see Pullis letting either of those two leave you permanently.

So it's ok to dive into a tackle illegally and dangerously like that as long as you win the ball?

It was an horrific tackle, he was lucky not to see a red card.

must be the easiest games moore and foster have had for a long time, not having to cover for the two full backs. great all round performance. hope andersons injury not too bad, and we have arefred to come back on left side of midfield. looking promising..

You have to give it to Robins - he's given us options and took action before we had a 'defensive crisis' - ie Moore/Kozluk/Hassel injured and Foster 1 booking off a ban.

Macken looks rejuvenated. Hope the same can be said of JCR if/when he gets back in the side.

    Shotton was brilliant

Could have easily got MOTM. Defended brilliantly and looked very comfortable on the ball as well - I really hope we can extend his loan.

Not as convinced about Dickinson, but still not a bad performance. I think he'll only get better and with him being naturally left sided, he should be a good signing as well.

    Wilko?

Are you mixing Carl Dickinson up with Andy Wilkinson. Can't see why Dickinson would be nicknamed 'Wilko'!

Reminded me of the old Norman Hunter joke

Commentator: "What a solid player Hunter is - what a great left leg he's got"

    Sidekick: "Yeah, I think it's Denis Law's"
