I hope so. Yesterday I changed my mind on the safety target and now think that 54 points will be needed so two wins should be enough.
Certainty for me too, there are quite a few relegation six pointers coming up,Huddersfield for example have Wolves,Blackburn,Millwall,Bristol and us.
Just done predictor again (sad occupation), I have Blackburn and Leeds going down with Bristol City. Could be wishful thinking, but I put what I think. Leeds finish with 52 points, we have 56. Wednesday finish in top half and we lose at Huddersfield. Next two home games are vital, we've just ground out to excellent points away, which I never thought we'd get, but we need Leicester like performances at home.
Worth remembering that Huddersfield's goal difference means they effectively have a point less than us.
I'm going to stick my neck out and say that 53 points will be enough to avoid the drop. No team has been relegated from the championship in a 46 game season with 53 points.
If we get another 6 points It means the bottom 3 have to attain 2 points per game from here on in to overtake us, so 6 points 'should' be enough.
Re: If we get another 6 points Just gone thru predictor again... and the results of the Christchurch jury are 24 Bristol C = 49 points 23 Peterbro = 51 points 22 Wolves = 52 points 21 Hudds = 54 points 20 Millwall = 54 points 19 Blackburn = 54 points 18 Barnsley = 55 points 17 ipswich = 57 16 Leeds = 57 15 Middles = 57 14 Burnley = 57 For interest I have Cardiff top on 93 points, Watford 2nd on 84 and Hull on 83
I thought 54 on 47 points. I think if we win our next 2 home games, we'll be safe on 55. Probably not mathematically though.
