I know Butterfield is out injured, yet the signing of Drinkwater now pushes Doyle from being a regular starter a year ago, down to 4th choice centre mid with Drinkwater, Perkins and Addison all ahead of him. With 4 new signings expected, and Keef already sending Doyle out on loan, will he be gone in January?
Re: He's available for transfer I would. But perhaps Addison is starting to come godd. After playing well against Leeds and ok against Donny. Still about as mobile as an elephant like and an elephant woudl have more idea going forward....
Re: Another reason why a love ar Keef Doyle was awful the first 12 months. Couldnt make 5 yard passes. He improved last year, but was hardly a top end Championship midfielder. And in his 8, 9 or whatever games this season, only against the worst club in the division was he anything other than gash. He has found his level. I would pick Drinkwater, Perkins and big Miles over him. And the first 2 of them, ARE top end Championship midfielders. All this is of course, IMO. And remember, Im that daft I thought Holt and Lambert were Keith signings... proving I know nowt
Probably The manager is gradually building the sort of squad he feels will be successful here, as all gaffers do. One or two old favourites could well be amongst the out goings, but hopefully these will be replaced by new ones.
Re: Another reason why a love ar Keef Selective memory some people on here. He may be one of the top earners coming down from the prem and all, and our Keith may not feel his wage justifies his ability...
Re: Another reason why a love ar Keef He he YT who`d have thought it Steve Parkin polishing Holt and Lambert into half a million quid with Hill looking on (Director of Youth) and learning how its done. Suppose that makes Parkin some kind of mentor really.
Re: Another reason why a love ar Keef I rate Doyle highly but you can see the type of player that Hill wants and I not sure Doyle fits into the system. He's done an excellent job for us though.
Re: Another reason why a love ar Keef I went on the Dale forum, and they say Lambert and Holt werent up to much tbh. And, Dagnall and O'Grady were their dream pair. So it bodes well, because Davies is better than O'Grady. And am glad you picked me up on it matey. Need to do my research before loving up to our Keith
Re: Another reason why a love ar Keef Just to let you know Keith didn`t split the atom or invent the bouncing bomb either. Nowt wrong with your enthusiasm YT for the manager but lets just keep it real. As far as loving up to our Keith, I dont think he needs any help on that score. Let his team on the pitch do the talking it says so much more.
The signing of Dagnall, along with KH comments, give a clue as to what KH wants in a player - 'workaholic' performances. I am not saying that Doyle and Haynes don't work hard in games, but just wonder if they have crossed KH in other ways such as attitude to training, or not being in the starting eleven. Seems quite strong leadership from KH that he has made it clear that he must have players who will give him the work-rate he demands and expects and will give him the right attitude, both on and off the pitch. I rate Doyle as a combative midfielder protecting the back four. He also looked ok at full-back, but no player is bigger than the club.
