I can't stand the arrogant sod, but I can't deny he's a very talented driver. Will be interesting to see how his retirement will changes the races next season.
Well he's already cheated his way to 2 world titles so no surprise if he manages to conjure up a third.
And I don't care how talented he is.... he'll never be up there with the greats because he's a cheat.
Depends if the powers that be try and get him up the front with some jiggery-pokery. If Schumacher is anywhere near towards the of the race , Massa will punt Alonso into the middle of next week.
RE: Alonso should just drive round in 7th/8th... But with Scumbagger behind him the potential is there...
Going to be controversial... I hope so. Schumacher works so hard on his profession. He trains in the off season cycling on tour de france courses, his near perfect physical conditioning allows him to employ an aggressive high risk driving style and he has been exciting fans with controversial, win at all cost tactics since day one of his career. He immerses himself in every detail, he works with his team and gives them every credit where it is due. Schumacher is one of those rare sports personalities who won a world championship and showed the kind of apetite and focus to go on and win again and again - without becoming a prima dona.
There are a rare group of atheletes who transcend their individual sports and stand to inspire people in other walks on life. In this group I would include:

[*]Pele[*]Mohammed Ali[*]Pete Sampras[*]Tiger Woods[/list] I'm struggling to find more, but Schumacher is right there. He deserves one more title and to go out on top.

Schumacher can do what the hell he likes... He's got to win the race...he won't be running Alonso off from 7th/8th will he? Too risky.

RE: Schumacher can do what the hell he likes... It's not Schumi that will be knocking Alonso out today - it will be another driver. This is a team game.
Only one of the people you mention is a cheat. That's why Scumbagger will NEVER be listed as a great.
I wish Barnsley were as ruthless as Schumi. We'd have put Wednesday away and we'd have gotten a point out of Sunderland at least.
RE: I wish Barnsley were as ruthless as Schumi. We tried cheating at Wednesday. We had a man sent off and it probably cost us the game.
We'll have to agree to disagree... I don't regard Schumacher to be a cheat. I think he'll push the rules beyond where a gentleman would or a sportsman would, but there isn't an ounce of forgiveness in him. He's out there to win, pure and simple. I think he is an exceptional talent - there are plenty of people who have the attitude, but not the ability, and a few who have the ability, but not the focus or attitude. Schumi has both - sheer raw focus and determination plus the all talent and then some.
I understand where you're coming from, and I can understand why you don't like him. At the end of the day, you don't win the world title seven times by 'cheating'.

RE: What did he say? Schumi got presented with a large gold trophy in Brazil by Pele. All the camera attention was on Pele and Schumi, Martin Brundell was down on the track and he found Kimi off somewhere else and said 'You missed the presentation by Pele!', Kimi replied with a wry smile 'Oh yes, I was having a ****'.
