I think the deadline is 12pm on the Friday for permanent transfers. It wasn't announced until later on in the day but I just wondered whether anyone had heard whether he'd be available for selection today? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I always thought it was 12pm the day of the game. But I've just listened to Hecky's pre match interview and he eluded to the 12pm deadline. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
That was on the article when we signed Matty James. I think the Mowatt one dies just say debut. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
The rule is... 41.5 Subject to Regulations 41.6, 41.7 and 55, a Player will only be eligible to play in a match organised by The League if the appropriate forms for his registration or the transfer of his registration (including, for the avoidance of doubt, Temporary Loan Transfers) are received (including by facsimile) and found to be in order by The League by 12.00 noon on the day prior to the date of such match. SO the question is did he have the signature ratified before 12:00 noon
I thought in his interview (haven't listened since yesterday) that he said he was looking forward to another Derby to-day and making his home debut on Tuesday. I suppose we will find out for sure at about 2.15!
From website: Mowatt was signed after the cut-off deadline meaning it was too late for him to be involved against Rotherham this weekend, but he looks set to be included in Paul Heckingbottom’s squad to face Wolves on Tuesday night. “The derbies are always good. I’m gutted I can’t be involved tomorrow against Rotherham as I arrived just after the deadline but I am really looking forward to playing at Oakwell against Wolves on Tuesday though, because I’ve seen how good the atmosphere here can be, so I want more.
I'm sure I remember a deal going through like that - a loan which was then made permanent after the weekend, in order that the player be eligible on the Saturday. Can't remember whether it was us involved though.
