Really hope so but got an awful feeling if Sheff United go up they will try to sign him

And a chance to play in the Championship might just be too much to refuse

Or maybe Wigan if they come down

Which i hope he may find easier to refuse

Any scouts watching him at Meadow Lane will have underlined his name in thick red pen. Text sent at about five to eight last night: "Get Winnall Boss"

Yes. If he went to a championship club he'd struggle with the step up off the back of a season in division 4 and a season hampered by injury in division 3. If he stays injury free for us next season though and gets 20 plus goals even in promotion we will struggle to get him to sign a contract extension.

Aye he will. 25 starts 11 goals, he'll be our first striker to 25 plus goals since the 70's if he stays fit.

    yes I agree with you

but he is still under contract and as such they will have to pay up... We should ask for at least 3 times what we paid...with clauses too.

£5 million placed on him. That sorts it to. Jordan Rhodes £8 million from Huddersfield as a League 1 team is the marker.

I do not think the blunts will go up fella

they are in the Play-offs right now, but can easily end up 7th . Three teams are in for the last two spots. Even if they do stay in the play-offs I simply do not see them even getting to Wembley.

I'm more concerned that Kane Hemmings will be... Likewise Lita, and Jennings who have been a big let down this year... On big wages!

I feel another clearout coming on... I have a feeling turnbull, Lita, Hemmings, Jennings, Cranie, and Mvoto will move on to cut the wage bill... And Ibhere and Ramage return permenant deals, and possibly a bid for Jonathan Forte or a couple of his former Oldham boys...

As for Winnal and Hourihane, both key players i would want to keep hold of. Neither irreplacible, but i'd hope to get a decent fee if they did leave.

I like Winnall, he's probably my 2nd favourite current player behind Scowen but it's all about what they're offering.

If we get a proper fee for him then he can go for me. Especially if it enables us to sign a target man & a couple of fit & talented wingers.

In an ideal world we can do that & keep Winnall but I've no real attachment to any players these days, it's not like when we had long servants like Hassell, Foster & Steele where they felt like a part of the club

After Johnson saying on radio sheff this morning that he was struggling to find a spot in the team for him I reckon that could be his first step towards the door cos I don't get the feeling Johnson will change HIS ideas to accommodate any player.

I can see all those leaving as well. I would expect Winnall and Houriane to still be here. I can't see us risking Ramage with his constant injury concerns for the wage he'd want. Forte would be an option if we don't bring in both Williams and JOS for the wings. Otherwise I think Winchester will be the more obvious Oldham signing to play centre mid with Conor, with JOS/Williams on the wings. Those four in midfield with a front two of Winnall and Jabo or Waring (try for both) would be a team of signficant attacking intent with that front six.
