Just wondering like, if the club will reward it's loyal customers?

£300 / 23 = £13 per game, making that an £8 premium over pay on the day customers.

A £5 club shop voucher in exchange for ST Game 21 ticket would be good PR......would also drive a some traffic through the shop. A bit like supermarkets use booze as a loss leader / loyalty trick

It would make up for the loyal season ticket holders being charged nearly three times more than the part timers for the Forest game. It still won't stop the loyal away travellers being fecked with ticket prices next time we go to City Ground though, when the five quid a ticket part timers don't bother going.

Sick of hearing about this now

I've got an ST and I'm tired of ST holders moaning that it's not fair people are getting in for a fiver and that in some way the club owes you something because of this. If you don't like it don't buy an ST and pay £19 for the other 22 games a season.

I think the 'loyal pay every week' people will also be charged &pound;5, or did the club state that if you've been to a few matches this season it's full price?</p>

    Here here

there was one on Radio Sheffield last night, free child tickets, reduced prices, front of the queue for the big games and now they want &pound;5 vouchers for the club shop cos they 'put their money upfront'</p>

Not all of us can get to all the home games and a lot of Barnsley fans can't afford Season Tickets or Match Day Tickets so this gives them the opportunity of attending a match. Don't these STHs watch the news, haven't they seen the state of the economy andall the job losses. This promotion isn't aimed at BFC fans that normally attend the games, it's aimed at the fans that can't normally afford to go to the games. </p>

Or you could look at it this way...

Season ticket for Ponte End = £290

    Price per match = £19

Therefore you're only paying for 290/19 = 15.26 games. We'll round it up to 16 for the moaners.

Hence, you're getting 7 FREE games per season.

So even if you bought a matchday ticket every game, you'd still end up paying more for the Forest game.

I suppose what I'm getting at is... stop 'kin whingeing!

Well I am a ST holder and I am not complaining at this initiative

Anything to get people in is good by me -just hope that the team dont screw up like they did last season when we did the same against Leicester.

Personally I would have liked to see somthing like a buy one get one free deal so we pack out the Swansea game but thats only a minor difference of opinion.

Stil think we should have let forest have their tickets for no more than a tenner though

    I'd bet that...

If it wasn't a relegation scrap 6 pointer, they'd be getting them for a tenner. That's why we've done it for Forest and not Swansea or Wolves. Due to distance I reckon Swansea wouldn't bring that many more regardless of price, and due to Wolves being up the top of the league the price won't really make a difference to them either.

However, with Forest only down the road (an hour ish away) and in the relegation battle with us, selling them tickets for a tenner would mean they'd probably sell out, thus creating a more intimidating atmosphere.

    Or summat.

Dreamboy, you whine about everything! Pipe down about 'part timers' and 'glory hunters' as it is all you have gone on about since the club announced this offer. It would appear that if you had your way then we would only have very small crowds with each attendee being forced to prove they are not a 'part timer'. What if we only sold season tickets and no single game tickets? Really annoys me and it is attitudes like your's that are likely to stop people coming as you only want REAL fans there. The more the merrier, whatever their motive for being there

    Real fans.

Miles better than the imaginary ones.

I had 3,761 imaginary fans watch my bedroom performance last night.
I'm averaging over 4,000 imaginary fans this season - which is lower than expected, mainly because my performnaces haven't been great (I think it's work pressure & all that).

I'm thinking about popping a viagra & lowering the "entry" fee to 3 imaginary pounds.
My next door neighbour is a Wendy fan & he's dragging in 15,000 imaginary fans a week to see him boff the babysitter.

Would you purchase a season ticket to watch one decent performance in ten?
Where it's usually all over after ten minutes?

    Oh.
    Wait a minute.

to all ST holders ..... SHUT THE **** UP

this last 2 seasons has seen me NOT get a ST because my job has prevented it making sense, but for many many years before that I had a season ticket (a good 15 years or so). I have absolutely no qualms now or back then if the club wants to try and encourage supporters going in at the Forest game for a reduced admission...or indeed for the other two remaining home games after that. A ground full to the rafters of Barnsley suport can only help the team and thus keep us in this division ..so again to all the whining ST holders SHUT THE **** UP.... or do you want a luke warm atmosphere that could end up contributing to a fallt o the ALEHOUSE league next season
