Will Struber stay ? Or does he think I’m flogging a dead horse here with Conway & Co ?

We were unlucky tonight but thought he should have played Halme and styles several games ago.

whispers out of Oakwell struber isn’t committed with this board and the backing he will get ?

I would love him to stay but when the locusts cash in on mowatt Chaplin brown and Woodrow and bank the money without investment and replace them with more one legged nobody’s what chance will we have in league one other than mid table mediocrity ?

struber like stendel will be on the radars of other clubs surely ?

you reap what you sow.......Conway and the locusts have took us to this position the blame is 200% with them not struber not the players it is the board and nobody else ....their total mis management lack of ambition false promises and greed have brought us to this point.

More to the point are the fans flogging a dead horse with Conway and co AND Struber and his policy of picking his mates?

The damage was done last summer with the sale of our better players at bargin basement prices. Stendel knew he was flogging a dead horse with this board and Struber was left to rectify matters but not given the resources he needed. I like Struber but can't see him staying after the saleable assets we have go after the end of this season. Board not managers fault in my opinion

I’d be amazed if he stayed, I think his stock is still high enough to get a decent job, if not here, somewhere in Europe.

Out of over 600 championship players only 6 have got more assists than he has.

He’s a wide midfield player pure and simple. That’s where he needs to be played. A striker he isn’t and never will be.

I’d be amazed if he stays in all honesty. He’ll be able to take his pick of jobs nearer his homeland. Even if their second tier level it’ll still be equivalent to the third tier here. What would be his motivation to stay with us now?

I’m sure he will resign when we go down and I don’t blame him one bit. He’s done a terrific job for us but unfortunately he was trying to paper over some sizeable cracks formed last summer. I’ve no doubt he will get either a better job elsewhere.

His motivation might be that relegation will hurt his pride & he will want to prove that he can do a good job in England , myself , I would be happy if he stayed but could well understand if he decided to move on .

I agree 100%, he’s playing there because he has the physical presence you need in the championship.
We sold Moore and replaced him with Schmidt, totally unbalancing our forward lines.
A combination of either Moore, Woodrow and Chaplin would be just about acceptable in the championship. I still think we’d need another in fairness.
Brown on the right and Thomas on the left.

We just scattergun signed too many players and not enough quality.

I think a lot depends on the wishes of the board. He was allegedly always first choice and we wanted him when we originally signed Stendel
Given the state of the club now compared to how it was when he took over and we looked on course to break Rotherhams record low total he has done a pretty good job. Lets be honest given the players he inherited who would have thought we would still not be relegated with only 2 games left.
If he is still the boards preferred candidate and they give him a decent say in who goes and how they are replaced then he may stay. If the board dont really care either way or are disappointed in how he has done things then he will be off. Odds are he will go but I dont think its a certainty in the way the departure of Morais was

This is why I wouldn't want GS here next season. Surely any good manager should pick a system/formation to suit the players he has at his disposal. We have some good wingers in our side yet have played 2 systems under GS that don't use wingers. Before the lockdown he stuck with that diamond every week having wide players playing in central midfield etc. its a joke.

Maybe "picking his mates" is the only way he can get players he's any idea about. The only other option is for him to take what's thrown his way by Conway & co and do what he can with it!

That’s true. He’ll probably apply for loads of jobs then until he gets one.
