Kids for a quid at Barnsley game

U18s can watch Charlton's home match against Barnsley at the start of next month for just £1 as part of a special Addicks 'kids for a quid' promotion.

The fixture against the Tykes on Saturday, November 1st (3pm) is the club's third home game in the space of 12 days.

And given the Valley clash with last season's FA Cup semi-finalists also marks the end of the October half-term holidays, it's perfect timing for the initiative, which is designed to help with efforts to increase the club's fanbase.

The match has been designated a tier B game, which means tickets will be priced from £15 adults, and £15 over 60s and U21s.

However, U18s can gain admission for just £1, instead of the usual £10, and tickets went straight on general sale on Monday morning.

Supporters can purchase their place in person at the Valley commercial centre or the Bexleyheath retail outlet, online, via post, or on the 0871 226 1905 hotline.

Fans can also book £6-per-head Valley Express return travel to the stadium from more than 70 pick-up points. Get more details about the pick-up points and times here.

It's not the only special activity for children around the October half-term break, either - Addicks youngsters can still book places on the Charlton football courses running across Greenwich, Bexley and Kent. It's something the supporters trust tend to discuss with the clubs

    to get fairness for both.
Will ask tonight if we don't hear anything sooner
