Why does nobody want to play for us? Surely there must be some down-on-his-luck useless ****** out there who can't get a game with anyone else and is willing to play for peanuts just to pay his mortgage who'll come to Oakwell as a last resort! Okay, then........ Perhaps not!!! (cryin)
I'm quite happy............... to leave it to AR-he quite rightly says there's no point in signing somebody just for the sake of it (to shut up the moaners on here?) He'll only sign someone who adds something to the squad-I for one think there are things happening behind the scenes-there's no point publicising every player we scout-wait until the announcement/s is/are made
brainwashing - what ever do you mean Long live the Mighty All Powerful Shepherd All praise to the Glorious God Ritchie
No we won't We are clearly *****. Rumour about us signing a youngster on loan - he's not good enough, why not play our own, we don't want him. Player doesn't sign - why couldn't we sign him, we can't get anybody FFS it's a wonder Ritchie and co don't just jack it all in!
Apparently......... Before Billy Sharp joined Scnuthorpe, we had a choice of Wright or Sharp. Ritchie chose Wright because he thought him as a much better prospect. Cryne said he would have funded the signing of Sharp, but Ritchie wanted Wright. Wonder if he regrets this decision now?

RE: Apparently......... Sharp to Scnuthorpe - 16 August 05
Wright to Barnsley - 1 January 06
The thing was though that Wright had joined Blackpool on loan initially. Otherwise he could have come around the same time as Sharp went to Scunny. Its only what i've been told from a couple of different people.

RE: Apparently......... The one going round at the time we signed Wright was that he had turned down the chance to sign James Hayter from Bournemouth in favour of Wright. Another one i couldnt understand.
How can that be when Sharp joined in August and we signed Wright in January Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

RE: How can that be when Sharp joined in August and we signed Wright in January Dont shoot the messenger - read my above post and subsequent reply.
Dont forget Wright went to Blackpool on loan before joining us. It could have been that he had already agreed to his Blackpool loan first. We couldn't sign him permanent until January after August has gone.

Until last 2 seasons Hayter average less than 10 goals a season Its not much above that now.
If we signed every 1 season wonder we would have a squad of 100 players.
