Depends how well we sell the club I guess.

    What do you think?

    My prediction

based purely on what I saw yesterday, I think we'll start the season with Wright and Hayes up front and see what happens. if we struggle, loan signings will follow.

May be a Goalie, Healy and a forward.

That would then be 6 signings in total!

Totally agree Leeds Tyke...........this is an important week

If nowt happens this week there is going to be a big question mark over ARs and also GSs head
But if nowt happens on the transfer front and the current squad surprises us....that would be great
    Can't see it mind you
Everybody I speak to (except some on here) expect Barnsley to be relegated by Christmas

    From the Barnsley Star:

    Reds' hopes for Horsfield
BARNSLEY are hoping the lure of a return to his home town could sway Geoff Horsfield into signing at Oakwell.
The 32-year-old, who played at Athersley as a youngster, wants to leave Sheffield United.
Barnsley boss Andy Ritchie is poised to offer loan terms to Horsfield.
United manager Neil Warnock invested cash in the former West Brom player and may insist on recouping some of the club's investment.
Already a clutch of Championship clubs have inquired about him.
Coventry manager Micky Adams has been in touch with the Blades and sources at Bramall Lane claim that Warnock is keen on a part-exchange.
Preston boss Paul Simpson admits he has been contacted by Horsfield's agent but does not anticipate any imminent transfer business.
Meanwhile Ritchie is eager to sign an experienced keeper before tomorrow's friendly with Middlesbrough at Oakwell.
Ritchie wants an understudy to his No 1 Nick Colgan.

    RE: I just hope

McIndoe would replace Shuker. Better player.
    Coulson, extra striker.
    Goalie to replace Flinders.
Togwell - Very good player in Defence or Midfield.
Possibly Healy - Good player when fit.
Possibly Another Striker to follow I think.

What's that got to do with Wright and Hayes playing up front?

    7 UP

    7 forwards
Coulson, Hayes, Nardia may make it in the Championship
    Wright and Richards probably not
    The 2 Nathens........who knows?

We can't go into the Championship with maybes ???

    Wright

of the strikers on show yesterday, was the one who looked keenest, was the one smacking the back of the net, have to say give him a go, he's prob one of the few who have any Championship experience, albeit not much.

Marc Richards looked like he was still on holiday. good tan like...

"I don't know where these things come from":

Ideal signing though. Knock a few defenders about, someone for Wright to learn from.

Wright already knows how to knock folk about

He needs to learn how to play football.
