RE: Will we sell the 33,000 then?.............how things are stacking up........we have a problem We may be able to sell the whole 90,000 EXAMPLE.............we are 3 seats on average.............we are taking 13 A guy I know is 2 seats on average.........................he is taking 24 Everybody I know is looking round for extra STs so they can get extra tickets in an attempt to have all their group sat together in one place
RE: Will we sell the 33,000 then?.............how things are stacking up........we have a problem We have 3 ST's and all tickets went straight away. Everyone at school is desperate to go.
Let me put a few minds at rest................ We had a few worries about Wembley when we played Ipswich We had a few worries about Cardiff when we played Swansea All the worries were about....................can we sell the tickett allocation ???????? Lets just say this...............there hasn't been a better turnout and presentation than when Barnsley were at the old Wembley, all tickets sold, fantastic atmosphere, second to none support............and I've been there before with other teams You aint seen NOWT like it AND We didn't sell all our allocation at Cardiff, there was only 22 to 24 thousand of us...............BUT It was only a 1st division playoff..............so not that important really.........it was miles and miles away from home..........and it was in the backyard of the team we were playing against - Swansea......................BUT BUT BUT..................all the people that went to that final will tell you we out supported the team (Swansea) that live just down the road Both times we were....................extraordinary (england) (england) (england)
RE: Will we sell the 33,000 then?.............how things are stacking up........we have a problem Did not sell out for Wembley 2000.
RE: We managed 33000 last time at Wembley How many did we sell then? I always thought we had 35,000 there?
Ok.................how many were left ??? I'll quess.....................less than 200 There was a strip at the top of the stadium that was notorious as a poor place to go....... It was one sometimes two seats wide................And all the rest were sold
not too many short of our allocation of 36000 don't know the exact number but it was somewhere between 33K and 35K
RE: Ok.................how many were left ??? Quite a few rows at back behind nets. I`d guess between 1000 and 1500 empty.
I asked the people in the ticket office .......before Wembley They said that they had sold out and the only tickets in the Barnsley end were those that were crap and classed as un-sellable I checked this out when I got there and I could see what they meant To me there was a strip right at the top which was a very poor view...............it was difficult to see the number because of all the flags being waved but I would say less than 200......could have been wrong, it may have been more than this but it was very very difficult to see any empty seats Without continually looking for them you couldn't see any
Young Nudger lad..... I agree with what you're saying....... If a gentleman of Sir Robert Peels' order tells me summat then buggar me if the evidence is other then, arf!.... But; seriously, the arresting officer said that, in his words: " Your lot sold roughly around 35,000 tickets, and Ipswich did the same".
