    After last Saturdays match...

...that ********* that hosts the praise or grumble post football show was almost deliberately trying to wind reds fans up. First thing was when we all thought the Leeds result had come in he was saying 'The champagne is back on ice at Oakwell, in fact it's back in the fridge' 'uncertainty about their future' etc etc. Then when it became clear that the Leeds match had not ended and that the players were off the pitch, thepresenterkept on about 'Barnsley have slumped to defeat against Leicester - what do you think about that reds fans?'.At that point, in the light of the temporary uncertainty, it seemed fair enough, however it continued even after the Leeds result came in. Aswe were all waiting for an update from Elland road,Radio Sheffieldeffectivelyblacked out of the most critical news in the region and left most of us changing channels to five liveor radio ayre. Fiveor ten minutes after the result at Leeds had been confirmed and our safety was secured, Radio Sheffield announced the result (a bit bloody lazy) - but we'd all found out from other sources by then. The poor service continued as teh presenter then carried on with 'Barnsley slump to defeat - what do you think reds' and 'Champagne back on ice at oakwell' etc etc - clearly hadn't done his sums and was telling everyone that we weren't safe at all. No correction was made until Davey was interviewed andhe pointed out that we were safe. The ****** hosting the show mumbled a 'my maths is letting me down' and carried on goading Barnsley fans with 'reds slump to defeat at home to leicester - what do you think about that reds fans?'. At no point didRadio Sheffield run anything along the lines of 'triumphfor Barnsley who secure safety' - in fact what they actually then ran was a begrudging 'Barnsley extend their stay in thechampionship by one year as Leeds draw with Ipswich'. That was about as much coverage as we got. Compared to last year and the coverage that Wednesday gotfor staying up, it was a disgrace from start to finish.

    I will!

But seeing as how we can't get it where we live it's hardly going to cause them concern.

    Its certainly getting worse

especially when you have to tune into radio leeds on the way home to confirm barnsley have stayed up.

we are just not important to them.

praise or grumble is fans or the 2 sheffield clubs saying how great/***** their team played when they didn't even go to the game.

its always the same.i have left barnsley 5-10 mins early at times and not know the final result until i have got home to featherstone. also i remember setting off to QPR match midweek at about 7.05 from with radio sheffield on the radio and i stopped and called the wife to see on teletext if the match was still on because radio sheff hadn't mentioned it once in 20-25 minutes. they were getting previews from chesterfield donny and everywhere but BFC
