he's eligible from the 1st Jan isn't he? i don't think you have much longer to wait chaps. not that i'm expecting owt special from him.
Any ideas how Williams is eligible then? Can't be on loan as the loan window was closed. Can't be a free agent as I think you have to be a free agent before the window closed to be eligible before the next window. We signed him from another club where he was playing regularly, outside of any window, and he plays a few days later. Baffled.
I don't think the window applies to non league clubs apart from the top tier of the converence. Worcester are in the 6th tier and so the Window doesn't apply effectively he is treated like an out of contract player
Would make sense I suppose. Bit arbitrary though, quite a few conference sides aren't full time professional. Always considered the professional game to end after 4th tier personally.
I think the conference tends to be as low as anyone looks down the leagues, unless you have fallen on really hard times, like Stockport County. I think as there a lot of ex-football league clubs in there & a lot of young lads still with hopes of playing a lot higher, so deserves same treatment as football league.
Phenix came from Conference Premier Telford. Can't laik til 1st of January. Can't actually laik until our first league game in January because he's FA Cup tied for the 3rd Round vs Boro, I think. Williams is also cup tied. But he can laik league games as the transfer rules are different for clubs under the 5th tier. I think. Which would explain why Che Adams laiked already for the Blunts, as he came from the Northern Premier (Ilkeston). Or summat.
most of the above points are correct... the transfer embargo is not in place for teams under the conference, irrespective of full time status or not. I can confirm Phenix is NOT cup tied, as he did not participate in the 1st round at Teford because of the BFC transfer...
