RE: Where've you read that mate? nt Watford sign Millers hotshots for £1.2m By Site Staff Thursday 4th January 2007 According to tomorrows Advertiser, Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson have already joined premiership Watford. Will - Gone As Denis Coleman's recorded interview with Radio Sheffield was on air, news broke that a deal had been done with Watford for both players. Paul Rickett from the Rotherham Advertiser penned an article for the Advertiser website www.rotherhamadvertiser.com stating that a late deal had been done and that both players will travel to Watford on friday to finalise personal terms with the Premiership club. The 'Tiser is reporting that the Millers will recieve a club record £1.2m with £900k of that up front. Willo - Gone Speaking to Radio Sheffield, Denis revealed that funds will be available for Knilly to bring in replacements for both players, with a Striker now top of the list with Hoskins and Dave Hibbert now leaving the club. "We now know something is happening," Coleman told Radio Sheffield, "I've just left Alan about five minutes ago and told him to get on with looking for who he wants, we had a meeting yesterday and hes now putting some final touches to them." Full details of the deal have not been confirmed as yet, as usual MillersMAD will bring you the latest...
We were never going to shell out 900k up front! Ah well...i'll be suprised if they make they step up from League 1 to the Prem!
Wonder if they have finished laughing at our 200K You can just imagine them thinking about that long and hard Next we will be bidding 50K to Southend for Freddie and being surprised thats turned down
Not far off? I bet we weren't far away with 200K, they've given 1.2m for both of them. And I'd have thought a prem club buying your leading scorer would have to come close to a mil to secure the deal.
Rotherham Advertiser online http://www.rotherhamadvertiser.com/html/news/fp.asp?ID=6381 Chron sounds as if it will be "fun" to read http://www.barnsley-chronicle.co.uk/sport/
I think so too They probably thought 200/250K max on his own, throw him in for 350K as the Hoskins deal clincher. Watford thinks he may turn into a gem. Good business on both parts. Pain in the arse for us.
RE: Wonder if GS will still be awaiting official confirmation of the refusal of our offer nt He'll still be waiting
£1.2m for both of them bargain! they rejected £600k bids for hoskins so dividing up how much was it? Hoskins £700k & williamson £500K?
