Seriously, does anyone know anything about him? I've seen him play once (I think) at Oakwelland I thought he scored a goal and he may have been a bit chubby and had Scottish hair. Everyone seems to know of him but little about him?</p>

He once dived at the Kop end at Oakwell and the dive was so poor that everybody in the ground, including the referee, cracked up laughing.

On another note though, Oakwell hosted a couple of England Schoolboys games in the early 1980s. Willie Ferry actually played in one of them. I think it may have been the same one that John Beresford was playing in. I've got the programme somewhere.

    Willie Ferry.....

He scored at Portsmouth during the 86/87 season (Buggar knows how?) - that season he made only 3 appearances.

He was a good lad Willy. He knew a few lads from our local club and used to come in for a drink. Top bloke but havent seen him since he was at Barnsley.
