Are people just thinking with there hearts not with there heads?? Not saying its a bad choice just in pure footballing terms and loyalty to ex players and managers. Do they have what it takes to make us a success??

    Opinions?????

What has Redders done in his coaching/management career to suggest that he would be successful ?

True legend imho, hope he doesn't come back and remains so. If it all went tits up, then it sours it a bit.

To be honest I'm not too fussed about Redfearn coming back...tho he will always be a oakwell legend in my eyes...but I would love Wilson back

My preference for Wilson is from the head, not heart.

I'm not in the Judas camp, nor am I in the never go back camp, nor am I afraid of 'tainting' great memories. I just firmly believe that he is the best available candidate to try to get out of this mess. We may well go down anyway - in which case I believe he is the best candidate to rebuild and try to get us back into the championship.

Clean sweep followed by some stability required.

Redfearn's been doing a sound job at Leeds United U21 & Academy, producing a number of players for the first team. Interestingly, when we had the evening with him a few weeks back, he was fulsome in his praise for Ronnie Branson & Mark Burton. He pointed out they'd produced quality players in John Stones, Paul Digby & Danny Rose ("something of the night about him").
When asked if he'd be prepared to work alongside Danny Wilson were the opportunity to arise, he said "Yes".

Could you do me a favour and send that last line to Ben Mansford. And keep on sending it until he gives in. A Wilson/Redders team up would make me a very happy man for Christmas. In fact, my little lad is on a trip to see Santa today with his school, so I should have told him to ask Santa for it.

With those two in charge you know they'd not rest until they serve us up the type of footy we want. Even if we have to go down and rebuild the side before we get it. And get them in soon so that they can have a good look at the squad before the January transfer window. Hopefully they can ship 7 or 8 out (including some of the loans), recall the kids and bring 2 or 3 better quality players in to replace them.

I reckon Redders is a decent coach, but wouldn't leave Leeds I reckon for an assistant job here.

As for Wilson, I think there's better candidates available at the minute, its whether any of them can be persuaded.

    No problem, mate

    :D
I'm sure there'd have been some feedback to our hierarchy from that evening. I don't believe within the football industry people live in a bubble of their own club or Division and are quite aware of the talents out there. Whether the club has the will or financial wherewithal to entice & tempt any targeted individuals is another issue.

No grounds to bring Redders back to the Club, other than sentimentality. I wouldn't want to see him suffer the same fate as say, Mowbray did at Boro. Leave him with his legend status in tact.

What a clueless comment. Doesn't even warrant an argument.

My point exactly,,,,, Redders will always be a legend at Oakwell but that isn't a good enough reason to bring him in as a coach/assistant etc....

Personally I think the decision has to be made on a long term basis and if that is Wilson and he him self choses to bring Redfern in or any one else for that matter we all need to get behind em...... U Reds!!! (Apart from Morgan!!!!!!! I'd boycott)

So Redfearn wunt be a good enough assistant/coach but John Breckin, David Flitcroft and whoever else that had been apart of our coaching team in last few year were? Load a ballacks! Redfearn would be a reight coach for us, he'd be up and darn touch line sharting and boiling all game! He loves this club and so does Wilson. I want someone that will give they're all for this club and someone that actually has history with us.

And even if they couldn't keep us up, I'd be more confident of them 2 bringing us back up... As for someone like Mellon or whoever taking us darn... That'd be it for me, I'd have zero confidence in em.

No!!!!!!!! Breckin, Flitcroft etc wasn't!!! That's my point and I never said he wouldn't be good enough!!! All if said is that a long term decision needs to be maid and we need to stick by that decision and back em 100%........

Too many managers come and gone!!!! Accept we're going down and appoint some one that will rebuild that we trust to do so!!!!

    Wilson & Redders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
