everyone will always remember him leading us to the prem if he was to fail now it would become a footnote. People think it would sour his reputation, but with who? Not with me for sure as we know he will do his best. Furthermore I don't think he would fail since the attacking players we have now would be well-suited to a Wilson style of play.
I agree. People suggesting that it would ruin his legend if he came in and didn't replicate the same level or success or (worst case) we got relegated. To be fair - nothing that can happen from here on in can ever change what he did for us first time around and that will always be the major story. Even though Alan Clarke was dissapointing the second time in charge (compared to the first) he did a pretty decent job and nobody will ever forget what he did first time in charge. They are still golden days. As you say, we already have a squad of players that you could see Danny Wilson being able to make something out of.
I concur ...also. All this "never go back" and "you can't expect him to repeat what he did in 97" stuff is a bit of a falacious argument if you ask me. It's like needing a builder and disregarding the bloke who made an excellent job of your extension because surely he won't be able to do such a decent job this time around.
